Competition Rules

The competition features a series of challenging linguistics problems designed to help students develop their analytical reasoning, pattern recognition, and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility for the IOL

Participants must be under 20 years of age on the first day of the IOL competition of the relevant year, and should be pre-university students. Participants also must be either a UAE national or be studying in the UAE.

Based on ASLO results, up to four eligible students may be invited to participate in the IOL.
